With a professional background in sales and account work added to her extensive production experience, Kelly knows better than anyone else how to handle situations that could otherwise derail a project.

As head of the HMH production department, Kelly oversees workflow, budgets and quality control. Simultaneously. Working with internal resources and external partners, Kelly makes sure everything we produce is top-notch, on time and on budget. Her honesty and willingness to go above and beyond, coupled with a refreshing sense of humor, make her the perfect person at the helm when the pressure is on. Her work ethic and professionalism has earned the respect of clients and coworkers alike. Even when deadlines loom overhead, Kelly inevitably finds a way to get it done. The right way.

WORST JOB:

Working for a legal newspaper doing galley paste-ups. If there was a typo, I had to cut the letters out and move type over. Inevitably, the correct type would fall off at press time.

DREAM JOB:

I would love to open a summer camp for under-privileged children.

FIRST JOB:

Camp counselor in Colorado. I learned how to make shampoo from the roots of a Yucca plant. That way, we could at least have clean hair out in the backcountry.

SOMETHING NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT YOU:

I'm a dead head. I've been to several hundred Grateful Dead shows.

WHO INSPIRES YOU:

My mother.

FAVORITE MUSIC:

Anything from the 60s.

FAVORITE QUOTE:

"Many people come and go through the doors of my life, taking what they need and giving what they can. Our moments were only seconds of a lifetime. Yet so important because we shared what we could. Only a glimpse of the sun, but enough to warm the heart."
- Kathy Kilminster, 6th grade teacher
