HMH Ranked On List Of Fastest-Growing Private Companies
October 3, 2007
PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland-based marketing communications firm HMH made it onto Inc. magazine's list of the 5,000 fastest growing private companies in the country. HMH ranked number 3,411 with revenue growth of 88.5 percent between 2003 and 2006. In addition, the agency, which opened an office in Charlotte, N.C., in 2004, ranked number 33 in the regional list of fastest-growing companies in the Charlotte area. The Inc. 5,000 is an extension of the magazine's annual Inc. 500 list.
"HMH continues to enjoy strong momentum," said Ed Herinckx, HMH president. "We're growing in two important ways. First, we increasingly are recognized as a smart, creative marketing communications agency by clients looking for a mid-sized firm where they know they'll get senior talent on every part of their business. Second, we're helping our current clients grow, as well, and we're growing right along with them."
The 2007 Inc. 5,000 list measures revenue growth from 2003 through 2006. To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based and privately held, independent (not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies) and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2003, and $2 million in 2006.
"The Inc. 5,000 provides the most comprehensive look ever at the most important part of the economy, the entrepreneurial part," said Inc. 5,000 project manager Jim Melloan. "The expansion of the list has allowed us to tell the stories of companies that are underreported in the business media."
