HMH HELPS PSU AD TEAM TRAVEL TO NATIONALS
JUNE 22, 2005
PORTLAND, Ore. – HMH donated $1,000 to help a 12-member team from Portland State University participate in the American Advertising Federation's National Student Advertising Competition in Nashville June 5-6. The team previously won the regional-level competition to earn a place among 16 other schools at nationals.
The teams are assigned a national brand client with a hypothetical multi-million dollar budget. The teams function as a full service agency, developing and presenting a comprehensive campaign to a panel of client and agency judges. This year's challenge was to develop a $10 million national communications plan for Yahoo!, which included advertising, partnerships, promotions and direct marketing, as well as a recommendation on how to modify Yahoo!'s existing product offerings.
AAF's National Student Advertising Competition is the premier college advertising competition, providing more than 3,000 college students real-life experience.
With offices in Portland, Ore., and Charlotte, N.C., HMH is a 27-year-old full service marketing communications firm serving a wide range of local, regional and national clients. HMH offers advertising, public relations, graphic design, interactive, account planning, media buying and branding services.
